He or she will carefully explain your options, make recommendations at your request, take care of all the small details, and ensure that you and your family’s personal touch is always present.
Our Staff:
Larry Taylor has been in the funeral business since 1980 and has served the Charlotte County community for most of those years. Larry came to this community with his family in 1969 and has been a member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte since then. Larry is very active in the community as a member of and serving on the Board of Directors and as Vice-President of Punta Gorda Kiwanis, a member of the Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care Community Advisory Counsel and co-chairman of their capital campaign, a long time member of His Four Southern Gospel Quartet, and an umpire/trainer for Little League thru college age baseball. Marian Taylor is the company bookkeeper. Marian was born in Florida and has lived in Charlotte County since 1977. Marian not only keeps the finances for the company, but she can be found helping families with the personalization part of many services. Larry and Marian are proud to both be alumni of Charlotte High School and all four of their children have graduated from there. They also have three granddaughters, Kirstyn, Aubrianna and Elizabeth and one grandson Ethan. Contact Marian at
Micah Botts is a senior funeral director and has been in the funeral business since 1979. Micah was born and raised in Florida and has been in SW Florida since 1986. Since joining the staff at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services in 2002, he has served many families of Charlotte County, helping them create meaningful services with care and compassion. Micah is an avid Texas Holdem player, loves golf and has been a Florida State University and Tampa Bay Bucs fan for many years. He is active in the community as a Master of Ceremonies at many events and is well known for his dedicated work as the emcee for the MDA telethon in North Port for the past 7 years. Paul Dickmann is a part-time funeral director and has been involved in the funeral business for over 50 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Paul and his wife Connie moved to Punta Gorda in 1997 and have been an active member of First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. Paul serves the church as a Deacon and as Chairman of the Community Christian School Council. Connie teaches Sunday School and is a substitute teacher and works with the Charlotte County Board of Elections. They have 4 grown sons, 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
CaraLisa Fockler is the office manager. She has over 20 years of administrative experience. Caralisa is responsible for completing all of the paperwork and daily accounting that needs to be done to service our families and she can be found helping families with the personalization part of many services. She also is the one that has implemented many of our computer programs that allow us to personalize services for our families. Caralisa is married to Jim and they have a dog, two cats and three ferrets. She is active in the community, serving on the Port Charlotte Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care Community Advisory Counsel and volunteers as a pet therapist for Delta Society. Contact CaraLisa at
Leo Hopkins is our part-time funeral attendant. Leo is responsible for getting the paperwork signed and filed with the vital statistics office and setting up for services. Leo is the person that you see when he opens the door for you at visitations and services. He helps in many ways that most families never sees, but does so with great care and concern. Leo is retired from the Bell system after 31 years and was a scoutmaster for 20 years. He is married to Doris for over 50 years and they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
