Larry Taylor has been in the funeral business since 1980 and has served the Charlotte County community for most of those years. Larry came to this community with his family in 1969 and has been a member of First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte since then. Larry is very active in the community as a member of and serving on the Board of Directors and as President of Punta Gorda Kiwanis, a member of the Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care Community Advisory Counsel and co-chairman of their capital campaign, a long time member of His Four Southern Gospel Quartet, and an umpire/trainer for Little League thru college age baseball. Marian Taylor is the office assistant. Marian was born in Florida and has lived in Charlotte County since 1977. She can be found helping families with many parts of their services, including the personalization. Larry and Marian are proud to both be alumni of Charlotte High School and all four of their children have graduated from there. Marian also has a cookie business (MimiTsCookies.com) that she started with her granddaughter, Kirstyn, in 2008; it is well known for the best tasting cookies her customers have ever eaten. Micah Botts is a senior funeral director and has been in the funeral business since 1979. Micah was born and raised in Florida and has been in Southwest Florida since 1986. Since joining the staff at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services in 2002, he has served many families of Charlotte County, helping them create meaningful services with care and compassion. Micah is an avid Texas Hold'em player, loves golf and has been a Florida State University and Tampa Bay Bucs fan for many years. He is active in the community as a Master of Ceremonies at many events and was well known for his dedicated work as the emcee for the MDA telethon in North Port for many years. Eric Johnson is a funeral director, having received his degree in funeral services, with honors, from St. Petersburg College. He was born in Wisconsin and moved with his family to Michigan at the age of 14. Eric has been a resident of Southwest Florida since 2004. Introduced to the funeral business at an early age, he has a great appreciation for honoring life and serving families in this community. Eric has become well known for his expertise in antique clocks and watches, both restoring and repairing them, and has an extensive collection of his own. He is a Green Bay Packers fan and enjoys spending time with his family rooting them on. He is married to Carolyn and lives in Punta Gorda with their six children. Contact Eric at
Paul Dickmann is a part-time funeral director and has been involved in the funeral business for over 50 years as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. Paul, and his wife Connie, moved to Punta Gorda in 1997 and has been an active member of First Baptist Church in Port Charlotte. Paul serves the church as a Deacon and as Chairman of the Community Christian School Council. Connie teaches Sunday School and is a substitute teacher and works with the Charlotte County Board of Elections. They have 4 grown sons, 11 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
CaraLisa Fockler is the office manager, having over 20 years of administrative experience. Caralisa is responsible for completing all of the paperwork that needs to be done to service our families and she can be found helping families with the personalization part of many services. She also is the one that has implemented many of our computer programs that allow us to personalize services for our families. Caralisa is married to Jim and they have a dog, two cats and two ferrets. She is active in the community, serving as a volunteer with Port Charlotte Tidewell Hospice and Palliative Care and as a pet therapist for Delta Society. Contact CaraLisa at
Linda Hay is the company bookkeeper. Her resume' reveals over 20 years experience with a number of companies, and in several different industries, implementing and working with accounting systems and project management. Linda moved from California to Florida in 2004 with her husband, Nick; they have traveled extensively to many areas around the globe, and currently own two boats they use to explore our local waterways. Leo Hopkins is our part-time funeral attendant. He is a person that you may see when he opens the door for you at visitations and services. He helps in many ways that most families never see, but does so with great care and concern. Leo is retired from the Bell system after 31 years and was a scoutmaster for 20 years. He spends time in his homes in both Punta Gorda and North Carolina. Leo is married to Doris for over 50 years and they have three grown children and two grandchildren.
